Do you remember the episode of Seinfeld where George was a hand model? His hands were beautiful - long, straight, tapered fingers, smooth, soft skin. Well it is unlikely that anyone on my George side of the family will ever likley be a hand model. My fingers may be long and tapered but they certainly are not straight. My little fingers on both hands have a crook causing them to curve inward.
This genetic trait is from my grandfather, Joseph Brinley George. He was a Welshman. He passed these crooked little fingers onto his children - my mom and my uncle. And they have passed it on to my cousin, my brother and me. I have in turn, passed this trait on to both of my children. We all have crooked little fingers.
It will be interesting to see if my grandchildren will inherit this genetic trait too.
