Wow! The competition is sure heating up. I have checked out some of the other genea-bloggers' progress yesterday and today. They are hard at work.
Today is Day 3 of the Games. My big event was "Go Back and Cite Your Sources!". I have spent a good chunk of the day and night working on this event. It has been a challenge. However, it is a great feeling knowing that my sources are correct. I have been using the book "Evidence Explained: Citing History Sources from Artefacts to Cyberspace" by Elizabeth Shown Mills to learn how to properly cite my sources.
Since I'm not quite certain if it's the number of events that supposed be sourced that counts, or if it's the number of individual sources, I'm gonna go with the latter. This way I know I'm covered.
Today, I entered the source information from 30 different England and Wales Civil Registration certificates.
That at least gets me to the Gold Medal Level. Wait...I'm not done yet! Only 20 more to go.
But first I need some sleep.
