The Results Are In!

The Closing Ceremony for the 2008 Genea-blogger Group Games has been posted at Destination: Austin Family, hosted by Thomas MacEntee.

Thirty-eight genea-bloggers set out to compete in the games. Thirty-five completed events. Way to go!

Here are the medals I earned:

Back Up Your Data

Organize Your Research
Write, write, write!
Genealogical Acts of Kindness

Cite Your Sources

The games were the brain child of Thomas MacEntee, Miriam Robbins Midkiff and Kathryn Doyle. They did a fantastic job of creating categories and events that helped us participants do our family history better. I had fun while improving my source citation methods, organizing and backing up my research, writing about my ancestors, visiting other genea-bloggers' blogs, joining genea-blogger owned networks and a genealogical society.

The next Genea-blogger Group Games are scheduled for 2010. Guess I had better start training!
