FamilySearch has three new/updated databases for Canadian researchers:
British Columbia, Index to Baptisms, 1819-1954 This is an index of church baptismal records from various locations in BC, and include First Nations (aboriginal) peoples. Some of these records pre-date British Columbia joining the Confederation of Canada.
Nova Scotia Delayed Births, 1837-1904 These are delayed birth registrations housed at the Archives of Nova Scotia.
Ontario Births, 1869-1910 This is an index to births only.
Find My Past is releasing the anticipated 1939 National Register on Wednesday, November 4, 2015. This will be of much interest to those of you with English and Welsh ancestors and relatives. There is an additional cost to access these records even if you are a FMP subscriber.
Ancestry.ca has two new databases for Canadian researchers:
Ontario, Canada, The Ottawa Journal (Birth, Marriage and Death Notices), 1885-1980 This database contains images of the full published run of the Ottawa Journal from 1885-1980, and also includes an index to birth, marriage and death notices for the years 1951-1980.

Ancestry.co.uk has just release Scotland, National Probate Index (Calendar of Confirmations and Inventories), 1876-1936. With many Canadian having Scots ancestry, this a must search database. Here's a tip if you're having trouble finding your ancestor when using the name search. If find entering the Canadian city in the keyword search might give you the results you're looking for.

The Toronto Reference Library is hosting a Special Presentation of Historical Maps on November 5th.Next Saturday, November 7th is an all-day Fall Genealogy Workshop by the Norfolk Archives at Eva Brook Donly Museum & Archives in Simcoe, Ontario.
