After the Canadian Genealogy Virtual Research Intensive in September, I went on hiatus. During that time, I travelled to England and Wales with my husband, Darryl. We journeyed to meet cousins, visited ancestral homes, took in the sights and enjoyed some delicious English treats such as Bakewell tarts, fish & chips, and crumpets. Also, I spent time working on my own family history, reading novels, catching up with friends and hanging out with my family. It was exactly what I needed.
I am refreshed, restored and ready for 2020!
I have missed our webinars and interacting with you. This is why I'm bringing back Genealogy with a Canadian Twist webinars, which will be held monthly.
There is a new format to the webinars. I will be having a panel of Canadian genealogists joining me. This is a great opportunity to meet genealogists from across the country, and for them to share their expertise and knowledge with all of us.

Lianne Krüger of iFamily History
Lianne’s genealogy began at graves as a child then on microfilm and a list of names as a teenager to researching her paternal grandmother’s line back to the first European landowner of Canada as a young mother. After earning a computer degree she has taught computer software courses since 1982. Lianne loves to share her knowledge, experience, and love for genealogy and technology. She has articles published in newsletters and online blogs and spoken at conferences in Ontario, England, Saskatchewan, multiple locations in Alberta, and Utah including RootsTech.
Lianne has been 1st VP of Alberta Genealogical Society (AGS) for almost 6 years. This ends in April. Before this she was President of the Red Deer Branch of AGS for two years. She has organized three conferences for AGS. She is currently volunteering with Ancestry.ca advisory group and mitoYDNA.org.

Linda Yip of Past Presence
Linda Yip loves sharing her genealogical finds - whether it’s research techniques, new tech, or family stories - on her blog, Past Presence. Linda is an active member of the British Columbia and Saskatchewan genealogy societies and is also a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists. She’s a storyteller and a member of the Saskatoon Storytelling Guild. She’s passionate about squeezing as much genealogical information as possible from freely available sources, and she’s a fiend for organizing documents with Evernote. Linda has scanned a digital photo archive of over 33K images.
Linda has spoken on Using Evernote for Genealogy, Using Evernote with Henderson’s Directories, The Chinese Canadian Diaspora, and a range of business topics. On the client side, Linda’s biggest win was finding The Grandfather Who Didn’t Want To Be Found.
Linda’s dream weekend would be to be left alone at the national archives with a pot of fresh coffee and some snacks.

Kaye Prince-Hollenberg of Kaye Prince Genealogy Services
Kaye began her own family research journey over twenty years ago, and now uses the expertise and knowledge she gleaned along the way to help others build their own family histories. She holds a Master of Information degree and, when not conducting research for her clients, spends her days as a Librarian at a public library where she leads all of their genealogy programming.
She is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists and the International Society of Genetic Genealogy. Her research specialties include Jewish Genealogy, and DNA and Adoption Research. She is also currently working on a multi-year project tracing Jewish families and Holocaust survivors from the town of Korolowka.
